Ryan Garcia Casts Doubt on Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua Heavyweight Match

Ryan Garcia has expressed skepticism about the likelihood of a heavyweight bout between Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua. The anticipated match, set for December 19 in Miami, is scheduled for eight three-minute rounds with both fighters using 10oz gloves. Paul’s last fight was a decision win against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr in June, while Joshua has been inactive since a knockout loss to Daniel Dubois in September 2024. Despite facing off at a press conference in Miami, Garcia doubts the fight will happen due to significant size differences observed between the two fighters.

Paul retaliated against Garcia’s doubts, pointing out Garcia’s recent fights and questioning his credibility in the sport. Following the cancellation of Paul’s fight with Gervonta Davis, he called out multiple boxing stars, including Garcia, for potential matchups. However, DAZN, the streaming service, declined the opportunity for Garcia to switch platforms, favoring Joshua’s appearance on Netflix for the upcoming fight.

The Josh vs. Paul clash is set to take place in Miami on December 19, just before Christmas. The fight is expected to air live on Netflix and is likely to commence around 11 pm local time, catering to the American audience. The event timing may vary depending on the undercard duration.
