A viral video captures a young boy sticking his head out of a moving car’s sunroof and getting struck by an overhead barrier. The car was being driven by the boy’s brother-in-law, with a female passenger also present.
The footage shows a red SUV traveling on a busy road, with the child standing through the sunroof. As the vehicle advances, the boy leans out further and is suddenly hit by the barrier. After the impact, the child quickly retreats back inside the car.
The incident raised concerns about road safety and parental responsibility. The video, widely shared on social media, prompted users to emphasize the importance of ensuring child safety in vehicles. The episode occurred in Vidyaranyapura, Bangalore, and fortunately, the boy did not sustain severe injuries.
This event serves as a stark reminder of the dangers associated with children standing or playing through sunroofs while a vehicle is in motion. A tragic incident in 2023 resulted in the death of a teenager who struck a concrete beam while sticking his head out of a car’s sunroof in Canada.
In the previous case, the 18-year-old was traveling in a Toyota Camry at a mall parking lot when the accident occurred. Despite being rushed to the hospital, the teenager succumbed to his injuries. The driver and another passenger in the car were unharmed.
