“Mercedes Offers Support to Struggling Hamilton at Ferrari”

Mercedes’ head of communications has revealed that team principal Toto Wolff has been in communication with former driver Lewis Hamilton to offer assistance during a challenging season with Ferrari. The seven-time world champion has been struggling to adjust to the team, dealing with a car that is not performing well and questionable race strategies.

Hamilton’s difficulties were highlighted at the recent grand prix in Qatar, where he was knocked out in the first qualifying session and finished outside the points in 12th place despite a comeback effort during the race. Currently, he holds the sixth position in the drivers’ standings and faces the risk of dropping to seventh after the final race in Abu Dhabi.

Expressing his frustration with his debut season at Ferrari, Hamilton labeled 2025 as the “worst season ever” and mentioned trying everything to improve his performance on and off the track.

Throughout the season, Hamilton’s struggles have been apparent, but it seems that his former team Mercedes has been offering personal support. Mercedes’ chief communications officer Bradley Lord disclosed that they have been holding discussions to help Hamilton navigate through this challenging period, with Wolff accompanying him to race venues.

In an interview with CHAMP1, Lord emphasized their sympathy for Hamilton’s situation and the belief in his ability to bounce back stronger. As Hamilton prepares for the final race in Abu Dhabi, Mercedes aims to provide encouragement and support to help him maintain his current standing in the drivers’ rankings.

Following the Abu Dhabi race, Hamilton will bid farewell to the current Ferrari model, which has presented numerous challenges. Meanwhile, team principal Fred Vasseur has motivated the team to keep pushing for a return to victory despite the current setbacks.

Ferrari is determined to end the season on a positive note before shifting focus entirely to the upcoming 2026 campaign.
