“Anthony Joshua Teases Boxing Comeback, Potential Surprise Match”

Anthony Joshua is keeping fans on their toes regarding his return to the boxing ring, with the decision likely to come just 48 hours before the fight begins. Since his defeat by Daniel Dubois last September, Joshua has been eager for a comeback fight before setting his sights on a future showdown with Tyson Fury. Sources hint that the former two-time heavyweight champion might make a surprise appearance on an upcoming undercard event before Christmas.

Promoter Eddie Hearn revealed, “A decision on his next fight will be made this week. If a fight materializes this year, it will be kept under wraps until the last minute. We have potential opponents lined up for a warm-up bout, aiming for a low-key approach where Joshua would simply show up, weigh in, and step into the ring.”

Hearn added that the only exception to this plan would be a potential match-up with YouTuber Jake Paul. Despite Paul seeking new opponents for a December fight, Hearn clarified that Joshua is not one of the contenders being considered. Regarding coaching changes, Joshua is currently exploring new options after working with Ben Davison for his previous fights. He recently visited Oleksandr Usyk’s training camp in Spain as he prepares for the next phase of his boxing career.

Joshua has a history of training under various coaches, including Tony Sims, Rob McCracken, Robert Garcia, and Derrick James, before joining Fury’s former stable. Meanwhile, the highly anticipated Chris Eubank Jr. vs. Conor Benn rematch is scheduled for November 15 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Fans can catch the event through DAZN PPV for £24.99 or watch it for free with a DAZN Ultimate subscription.
