“Brothers Triumph: Oscars Brother Wins Boodles Florida Pearl Chase”

In a remarkable victory at Punchestown, a trainer with only two horses, alongside his jockey brother, clinched the Boodles Florida Pearl Novice Chase with Oscars Brother. The competition featured horses from renowned stables like Gordon Elliott and Henry de Bromhead, as well as Rocky’s Diamond, who finished fourth in the 2025 Stayers’ Hurdle.

With Connor King as the handler and his brother Daniel as the jockey, Oscars Brother triumphed by three lengths, outpacing De Bromhead’s Koktail Divin. The seven-year-old, guided skillfully by Daniel, maintained a leading position throughout the race, showcasing impressive jumps and finishing strongly as the 7-4 favorite.

Before this victory, Oscars Brother had prepared for the three-mile race on challenging ground at Galway. The duo now aims to nurture a potential Grade One contender at their stable, which currently houses only one other racehorse in training.

Daniel expressed his joy at winning for his brother, praising Oscars Brother’s progress and attitude. Looking ahead, Connor, a former jockey, hinted at targeting the Grade One Faugheen Novices’ Chase at Limerick during the festive season, highlighting the horse’s transition from hurdles to chasing.

Reflecting on the race and future plans, Connor mentioned the potential significance of the upcoming Christmas period race at Limerick and their aspirations for Oscars Brother’s promising future in the world of racing.
