“JFK’s Granddaughter Given Less Than a Year to Live”

Tatiana Schlossberg, the granddaughter of John F Kennedy, has shared the heartbreaking news that she has been given less than a year to live following a diagnosis of terminal blood cancer. The 35-year-old journalist disclosed that she was diagnosed with myeloid leukemia, a form of blood cancer, shortly after giving birth to her child last year.

In a poignant essay published in the New Yorker magazine on the anniversary of JFK’s assassination, Tatiana revealed that she received the diagnosis in May 2024 when her doctor observed an abnormal white blood cell count during her hospital visit.

Despite being known as a healthy individual, Tatiana expressed shock at the diagnosis, stating that she had no prior symptoms indicating any health issues. Doctors identified a rare mutation called Inversion 3, which cannot be treated using conventional methods, leading Tatiana to undergo two bone-marrow transplants, chemotherapy, and blood transfusions.

Despite undergoing treatments and participating in a clinical trial for CAR-T-cell therapy, Tatiana was informed that she has a limited time left to live. She expressed deep sorrow over the impact her illness has had on her family, especially feeling guilty for adding to her mother’s burdens.

The Schlossberg family has been a victim of the so-called Kennedy Curse, a series of tragic events that have plagued the prominent political dynasty. The curse gained notoriety after the assassinations of John F Kennedy and Robert Kennedy, as well as the plane crash involving John F Kennedy Jr and other family members.

Tatiana also criticized her second cousin, RFK Jr, for his actions as Secretary of Health and Human Services, accusing him of cutting cancer funding and spreading vaccine skepticism. She lamented the consequences of reduced funding on medical research and the potential impact on patients like herself.

The Kennedy family has faced numerous tragedies over the years, with each generation seemingly touched by misfortune. Despite their prominence in American politics, the family’s history has been marred by untimely deaths and sorrowful events that continue to shape their legacy.
