Lando Norris Dismisses McLaren Favorites Status

Lando Norris asserted his freedom to express his opinions during an interview, stating that he does not view McLaren as the favorites for the upcoming Las Vegas Grand Prix. Following his consecutive wins over the weekend in Brazil, the British driver heads into the season finale with a strong performance and a 24-point lead over his teammate, Oscar Piastri, who currently holds the second position in the World Championship standings.

Despite his recent success, Norris remains cautious as he approaches the Las Vegas race, citing a past crash at the street circuit in 2023 and acknowledging Max Verstappen’s victory there last year. During a post-race press conference in Sao Paulo, Norris dismissed McLaren’s favoritism for the upcoming race, defending his perspective when challenged by a reporter.

Formula 1 enthusiasts can catch all the live action of every practice, qualifying session, and race through Sky’s Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle, saving £336 in an introductory offer. In addition to Sky Sports coverage, the deal includes access to around 100 TV channels and complimentary subscriptions to Netflix and Discovery+.

“I have the liberty to express my views honestly. If I believe we may face challenges, I will acknowledge it. I’m not predicting a specific outcome, just acknowledging the difficulty in achieving victory,” Norris stated. He emphasized the team’s historical performance at the Las Vegas circuit and his cautious approach to the upcoming race.

Norris concluded by reiterating his commitment to honesty and transparency in his assessments, emphasizing that he prefers to provide realistic expectations rather than overconfidence. He emphasized the importance of expressing personal opinions freely and independently.
