Samsung is set to unveil its latest portable projector, the Freestyle+, at the upcoming CES tech show in Las Vegas. This compact device is an upgrade from the previous Freestyle model, boasting enhanced AI capabilities, brighter visuals, and a wider range of entertainment options.
One of the key improvements on the Freestyle+ is its user-friendly setup process. With Samsung’s AI OptiScreen technology, the projector can automatically adjust the image to suit different environments, eliminating the need for manual adjustments. This feature enables users to easily start watching their favorite content without hassle.
AI OptiScreen also introduces several intelligent features to enhance image quality under various conditions. These include 3D Auto Keystone for correcting image distortion on uneven surfaces, Real-time Focus to maintain sharpness while moving the projector, Screen Fit for automatic image sizing, and Wall Calibration to optimize image clarity based on the projection surface.
These innovative features aim to simplify the setup process typically associated with projectors. The Freestyle+ remains portable like its predecessor, equipped with a built-in speaker, Wi-Fi connectivity, and access to popular streaming services like Netflix, Disney+, and Prime Video.
Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of Samsung Electronics’ Visual Display Business, highlighted the Freestyle+’s adaptability to users’ lifestyles and spaces. The device’s seamless portability and intelligent AI ensure a consistent and high-quality viewing experience wherever it is used. Samsung plans to release the Freestyle+ in stores early in 2026, with pricing details yet to be confirmed.
