The latest F1 season has commenced with George Russell clinching victory in Melbourne. Throughout 2026, the racing calendar will span the globe, offering enthusiasts an exciting viewing experience. Sky has recently announced a significant television upgrade for its customers, introducing new features to enhance the live sports watching experience.
The forthcoming update will present viewers with an interactive experience, including a smart sidebar that will appear during race weekends. This feature will provide access to Race Control, a Recap option for quick replays of key moments, and live in-race standings updates. Furthermore, dedicated driver and team pages will offer onboard camera views, enhanced race data, interactive explainers, and improved navigation on the homepage.
The enhanced features will be accessible at no extra cost to Sky Sports subscribers using Sky Glass, Sky Stream, and Sky Q devices. Although the exact launch date is yet to be confirmed, the upgrade is anticipated to be rolled out later in the season.
In addition to the F1 upgrade, Sky has unveiled a new Ultimate TV subscription plan that combines major streaming services at a reduced monthly price. Priced at £24 per month, the package will grant both new and existing customers access to Disney+, Netflix, Hayu, and the upcoming HBO Max app in the UK.
The Ultimate TV plan includes Netflix Standard with Ads, Disney+ Standard with Ads (starting March), HBO Max Basic with Ads (from March 26), Hayu (from July, with selected shows available from March), and over 130 Sky channels. Sky emphasizes that this bundle offers exceptional value by consolidating approximately £20 worth of streaming services in one package.
This new offering from Sky reflects a continued commitment to enhancing viewer experiences and providing a diverse range of entertainment options for subscribers.
