Russia’s Defense Ministry announced plans to escalate attacks on various locations in Ukraine, including Kyiv, in response to statements made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. In an interview with Reuters, Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine would retaliate against Russia’s new airstrike strategy by focusing on Russian oil refineries. The objective is to counter Moscow’s efforts to compel residents to evacuate Kyiv and other urban areas, with a commitment not to harm civilians.
Simultaneously, a fire erupted at an industrial site in Russia’s Krasnodar region due to drone wreckage hitting the location in the Temryuk district. Regional authorities reported three injuries, with the injured individuals receiving medical care while emergency responders managed the situation.
