An elderly landlord reportedly used a firearm to defend himself against a naked intruder who had broken into his residence, causing significant injuries by body-slamming him onto concrete. The 79-year-old landlord, a military veteran, managed to fend off the intruder after the incident occurred at a housing complex on Tujunga Avenue in Los Angeles, USA. Witnesses stated that the landlord rushed to their aid upon hearing their screams as the naked intruder entered the premises.
According to Captain Warner Castillo of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), the witnesses recounted how the intruder violently lifted the elderly man and slammed him onto the concrete driveway, prompting the landlord to fire shots in self-defense, hitting the suspect three times. The injured landlord was promptly taken to a hospital, with his condition currently undisclosed.
The two women who alerted authorities were unharmed during the incident. A bystander who chose to remain anonymous described hearing the commotion and initially mistaking it for a house fire upon encountering the naked intruder. The bystander mentioned also hearing gunshots after spotting the intruder.
CCTV footage captured the naked intruder wandering in the neighborhood before attempting to enter the property where the confrontation unfolded. The video from a local’s Ring doorbell depicted the intruder approaching a home’s front door and grabbing a nearby sign before moving along the street. Another witness mentioned that the intruder noticed an open gate and attempted to enter the property where the altercation took place.
