“Tech Worker Murdered: Stalker Ex-Boss Convicted”

On a chilly January Friday, a woman contacted authorities to report her spouse, Kenneth “Kenny” Fandrich, 56, as missing after not returning home from work. Tanya expressed worry, mentioning that Kenny’s phone signal indicated he was still at the tech company’s parking garage where he worked as a contract fitter. She also disclosed concerns about a stalker targeting her husband.

Police and Tanya swiftly headed to the parking facility near Portland, Oregon, where they discovered Kenny in his car, appearing as if he had dozed off. However, upon closer examination, they found him deceased, leaving Tanya devastated. Despite the absence of apparent signs of violence inside Kenny’s vehicle, the autopsy results revealed his death on January 27, 2023, was due to neck injuries from blunt force trauma.

Subsequently, investigators delved into the security camera footage from the parking area. They observed a masked individual, donning red mirror-tinted glasses and a hard hat, spraying the cameras with blue paint early that morning. This vandal also went unnoticed by the company’s security team. The remaining unobstructed cameras captured a suspicious maroon Dodge van without a front license plate parked near Kenny’s vehicle, shortly before his arrival at 3:21 pm post his shift.

Amid the obscured view caused by the blue paint, Kenny’s headlights were seen flashing, presumably indicating him unlocking his car with a key fob. Police theorized that Kenny was abducted by the masked assailant at that moment and placed in the maroon van, with his body later relocated to his car. The primary focus for the authorities became locating the van.

Further revelations from the crime scene’s security team divulged a prior incident involving the same masked individual who had spray-painted the cameras a month earlier. Comparing the footage, police were convinced it was the same person, albeit wearing different glasses and showcasing a distinctive forehead crease. This individual emerged as the prime suspect in Kenny’s murder.

The suspect, identified as Dr. Steven Milner, a former boss of Tanya and a veterinarian, had a tumultuous history with the victim. Tanya disclosed details of an affair with Milner, which led to harassment and intimidation tactics directed at Kenny. Despite legal actions taken against Milner, the situation escalated, culminating in Kenny’s tragic demise.

Milner’s deceptive behavior and calculated moves, including purchasing secondary vehicles for surveillance purposes, were scrutinized during the trial. Eventually, Milner was found guilty of second-degree murder and stalking charges, receiving a life sentence with the possibility of parole after 25 years. Tanya, in her statement, condemned Milner’s actions, emphasizing the devastating impact of his obsessive behavior. Milner’s previous reputation for compassion now overshadowed by his dangerous fixation, marking the conclusion of a harrowing chapter in this tragic saga.
