Lando Norris celebrated his Formula 1 championship victory by embracing his girlfriend, Margarida Corceiro. The British racer sealed his title by finishing third at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, holding off competitors Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri.
Despite initially losing second place to his teammate Piastri, Norris maintained his composure and secured the championship with a flawless performance. Charles Leclerc posed a late threat but couldn’t match Norris’s pace in the Ferrari, allowing Norris to claim victory and shed tears of joy as he expressed his gratitude over the radio.
After stepping out of his car, Norris shared emotional moments with his parents and Corceiro, confirming their rekindled relationship. Corceiro, a well-known figure in the public eye, has drawn attention to the partners of F1 drivers, especially after a controversial incident at the Singapore Grand Prix where Carlos Sainz criticized the focus on drivers’ partners during broadcasts.
In response to the attention, Corceiro stated that she does not seek the cameras’ spotlight, emphasizing her nonchalant approach to media coverage. Norris, overwhelmed by his accomplishment, expressed his gratitude to his team, family, and competitors Verstappen and Piastri. He credited McLaren for their support over the years and felt a deep sense of pride in bringing success back to the team after a long journey together.
