Nigel Farage has been labeled a “snake oil salesman” by Angela Rayner, a prominent working-class Member of Parliament in Westminster. Rayner, a former Deputy Leader of the Labour Party, criticized Farage for hindering her efforts to empower the working class.
Rayner, a key figure behind Labour’s significant Employment Rights Bill, also took aim at Richard Tice, Deputy Leader of Reform UK, accusing him of lacking a true understanding of the challenges faced by the public.
In a scathing remark, Rayner stated, “Nigel Farage is a snake-oil salesman who claims to champion the working class, yet opposes the efforts of a dedicated working-class MP striving to empower the people of this country. Their rhetoric does not align with their actual intentions.”
Addressing Tice’s criticism of the workers’ bill as a “catastrophe,” Rayner expressed her outrage, emphasizing the importance of fair pay structures for care workers to reduce costs in the public sector, particularly in light of an aging population.
Rayner urged Tice to witness firsthand the realities on the ground rather than making sweeping judgments from afar. She emphasized the need for a comprehensive approach to address the challenges faced by workers and stressed the significance of supporting care workers in the context of a growing elderly population.
