“Winnipeg Nightclub Security Accused of Assault”

Three security personnel at a nightclub in downtown Winnipeg have been accused of assault following an incident in which a Winnipeg Sea Bears player sustained severe injuries earlier this month, according to law enforcement officials. Teddy Allen was hospitalized after being attacked at the nightclub in the early hours of August 3, as reported by the Canadian Elite Basketball League team. The three individuals, aged 35, 37, and 58, who were employed at the venue, were apprehended on Wednesday and charged with assault causing bodily harm, as announced by the police in a press release on Thursday. They were subsequently released on undertakings. Although the authorities did not disclose the name of the nightclub, they mentioned that it was situated on Main Street, between Portage and William avenues. Allen, in a written statement released by the team on Thursday, stated that he has undergone medical evaluations, received a diagnosis, and is currently recuperating at home. He emphasized that the assault was unwarranted and expressed his determination to bounce back from the ordeal.
