A new channel has recently been added to Freeview, offering viewers a wider range of entertainment options previously only available on premium TV platforms. TLC, known for reality shows like Dr Pimple Popper and Say Yes To The Dress, now features a diverse lineup including sitcoms and blockbuster movies.
With the addition of TLC, Freeview users can now enjoy popular shows such as The Big Bang Theory, Mock the Week, Young Sheldon, and blockbuster films like Transformers and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Freeview has made TLC accessible on channel 12, with some households needing to retune their TVs to access it.
In addition to introducing TLC, Freeview’s update will also lead to a minor channel reshuffle, with Quest moving from channel 12 to 17 and Really shifting from channel 17 to 44. However, not all changes are positive as Freeview has announced the closure of HGTV, resulting in the removal of programs like My Lottery Dream Home, Celebrity IOU, and Building Alaska from the platform, along with the shutdown of HGTV, God TV, and India Today.
The new channel lineup on Freeview includes TLC on channel 12 and TLC+1 on channel 99, while Quest moves to channel 17 and Really to channel 44. Channels that will be discontinued include HGTV, God TV, and India Today.
