“Tiger Woods Takes Golf Break After 7th Back Surgery”

Tiger Woods announced a break from golf following a recent back surgery in October. This marks his seventh back surgery and the third major operation in the past two years, including procedures on his Achilles and ankle.

Despite winning the Masters in 2019 after an 11-year gap, Woods has been struggling with injuries, impacting his competitiveness in the sport. While he hosted the Hero World Challenge tournament in the Bahamas, he acknowledges that his return to playing will be a lengthy process.

Reflecting on his recovery, Woods humorously mentioned playing in numerous events but then emphasized the need to focus on returning to the game first before planning his schedule. He recently received the clearance to resume chipping and putting after a six-week recovery period following the disc replacement surgery.

Looking ahead, Woods is eyeing a PGA record, aiming to surpass Sam Snead’s 82 tournament wins. His friend Notah Begay III highlighted that walking around the course remains a significant challenge post-surgeries.
