One of the inmates, Shahid Sharif, nicknamed ‘Sneaks’ and serving time for an armed robbery, was romantically involved with Dale. The prison guard had Sharif’s nickname tattooed on her neck and a picture of them together hung over her bed. The relationship between Dale and Sharif was discovered after Dale was caught on camera entering a prayer room with Sharif and later exchanging explicit messages with him.
Dale continued her involvement with Sharif even after he was transferred to another prison. She visited him, sent flirty images through email, and transferred money to his prison account. During a search of Dale’s car, authorities found incriminating evidence, including carbon paper used to conceal contraband and an engagement ring.

Phone data revealed their illicit interactions, including sexual conversations and plans to meet in secluded areas within the prison. In addition to her romantic entanglements, Dale was implicated in a scheme to smuggle drugs into the prison. The plan involved impregnating envelopes with liquid narcotics. Dale expressed her belief that she would marry Sharif and even underwent cosmetic surgery to enhance her appearance based on his comments.
