Conor McGregor shared a profound experience where he felt he saw his own death while undergoing psychedelic therapy. The former UFC champion recently took a break from social media and disclosed that he went to Mexico for Ibogaine treatment, known to aid in overcoming addictions, particularly opioid dependency, by alleviating withdrawal symptoms and cravings.
McGregor, who has not been in the ring since 2021 and is planning a return next summer, took to social media to describe his Ibogaine treatment journey. He mentioned gazing at his own coffin during the session, stating, “I underwent Ibogaine treatment at AMBIO in Tijuana, Mexico. You can watch the newly released Netflix documentary ‘In Waves and War’ to see exactly where I went.”
Describing the intense experience, McGregor shared, “I was shown a vision of my impending death, the impact it would have on my children, and witnessed the event from a transcendent perspective. Following that, I had a spiritual encounter with God in the Holy Trinity, which was a transformative and enlightening experience lasting 36 hours. This treatment, though challenging, was instrumental in saving my life and subsequently, my family.”
Expressing gratitude for the support received, McGregor acknowledged the positive impact of prayers and encouragement, remarking, “I have emerged from this experience renewed and enlightened. To my family, friends, fans, and team, thank you for standing by me. Exciting times lie ahead.”
Looking ahead, McGregor is eyeing a showdown with Michael Chandler, aiming for the fight to headline the UFC’s White House event planned for June 14, coinciding with America’s 250th anniversary celebration and President Trump’s 80th birthday.
