“Farage Faces Racism and Antisemitism Allegations”

Nigel Farage is under pressure to clarify allegations of racism and antisemitism made against him by several former schoolmates. The leader of Reform UK is facing fresh claims regarding his behavior during his time at Dulwich College in south London. Accusations include making pro-Hitler statements, joking about gas chambers, and racially discriminating against a peer.

Peter Ettedgui, a Bafta- and Emmy-winning director and producer, disclosed to The Guardian that Farage would endorse Hitler’s actions, make gas chamber references, and mimic the sound of gas chambers. A spokesperson for Reform UK dismissed all accusations as an attempt to tarnish the party’s reputation.

Ettedgui, whose family fled Nazi Germany, expressed shock at Farage’s alleged antisemitic and racist comments. He recounted instances of Farage using derogatory terms towards students of different ethnicities. Another former classmate mentioned Farage teaching songs about gassing Jews during their time in a youth organization.

Tim France, another schoolmate, recalled Farage frequently performing Nazi salutes and making disturbing statements in support of Hitler. Allegations also include Farage joking about gas chambers and singing inappropriate songs during school trips.

A doctor, Andy Field, claimed Farage once punished a student solely based on their skin color. Politicians, including Anna Turley MP and Lib Dem MP Josh Babarinde, have demanded accountability from Farage, emphasizing the importance of condemning divisive and hateful behaviors.

Hope not Hate’s Director of Campaigns, Georgina Laming, highlighted Farage’s history of intolerant views. The article also referenced past allegations involving Farage’s association with Hitler Youth, which he has denied.

In response to the allegations, a spokesperson for Reform UK dismissed them as baseless and accused media outlets of attempting to discredit the party. The party anticipates further attacks as the next election approaches.
