Two separate car fire incidents in a local town are currently under investigation by law enforcement officials, who suspect a potential connection between the two events. Firefighters swiftly responded to a vehicle engulfed in flames at Lawson Gardens, Kirkcaldy, Fife, at 3:05 am on Thursday, November 13. Shortly after, another car was deliberately set on fire at Haig Avenue, just half a mile away, at 3:25 am. Immediate action was taken by emergency services, including Police Scotland and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, at both locations.

Authorities have initiated a probe to determine the precise circumstances surrounding the incidents, with the assumption that the car fires are linked. A striking image captured the vehicle at Lawson Gardens consumed by fire in the early hours of the morning before being extinguished by firefighters. Described as “wilful fire-raising” by a Police Scotland spokesperson, individuals are encouraged to come forward with any information they may have regarding the incidents, as reported by the Daily Record.

Police in Kirkcaldy are actively investigating the two cases of wilful fire-raising, involving the cars set ablaze at Lawson Gardens and Haig Avenue during the early hours of November 13, 2025. These incidents, occurring around 3:05 am and 3:25 am, respectively, are believed to be connected. Anyone possessing relevant information is urged to contact the police at 101, referencing incident number 0292 dated November 13, 2025.

Regarding the fire incident at Haig Avenue, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service dispatched a unit to the scene with no reported casualties. A spokesperson stated that they received notification at 3:22 am on November 13 about a vehicle fire in Kirkcaldy. The fire was promptly extinguished by firefighters, who also ensured the safety of the area. Once again, no injuries were reported.
