Premier David Eby acknowledged the shortcomings in the current emergency support services and committed to conducting a thorough review to enhance future responses.
Researchers highlighted common issues with emergency alert systems, citing potential communication failures during crises. They suggested exploring alternative alert methods such as analog sirens to address coverage gaps in rural areas. Emphasizing the importance of redundancy in emergency systems, they recommended incorporating multiple communication channels for effective crisis management.
