“Trump’s Unprecedented Actions Rattle Politics”

Donald Trump has been involved in various activities over the past day, including interfering in foreign elections, pardoning drug traffickers, and overturning decisions made by Joe Biden. Additionally, there are talks about changing the title of the Secretary of War to Secretary of War Crimes. Meanwhile, ICE has been apprehending the spouses of U.S. citizens during their Green Card appointments, potentially in an attempt to meet quotas unfairly.

In recent updates from Trump’s side, he declared on Truth Social that he has nullified all Executive Orders not directly signed by Joe Biden, attributing this decision to alleged illegal operations involving the Autopen. However, it is essential to note that presidents cannot revoke executive orders via social media and require formal procedures to do so. Trump’s claims regarding the Autopen’s legality are unsubstantiated, as the use of autopens by presidents has been a common practice for years.

Amidst these events, Pete Hegseth, referred to as the “secretary of war,” has refuted accusations of issuing an illegal order to eliminate survivors of a boat sunk near Venezuela by the U.S. military. Reports indicate that the U.S. has conducted multiple strikes on boats in the Caribbean, leading to casualties and raising concerns about the legality of such actions under international law.

Contrary to the allegations, the Pentagon has dismissed the claims as baseless, emphasizing the success of ongoing operations against narcoterrorism. Trump’s recent warning on Truth Social, hinting at airspace restrictions over Venezuela, has sparked speculations about potential military actions against the country, potentially targeting Nicolas Maduro, the current leader.

Furthermore, Trump’s involvement in Honduran elections and support for specific candidates, along with his decision to pardon a former Honduran president convicted of drug-related charges, has drawn attention. ICE’s actions in arresting the spouses of U.S. citizens during Green Card interviews have also raised concerns regarding the fairness of the process.

In a separate development, Jamie Dimon of JPMorgan Chase explained the firm’s decision not to contribute to a fund associated with Trump, citing concerns about avoiding any perception of seeking favors that could have legal implications in the future.
