The incident occurred as they were entering a temple in New Delhi, India, carrying hydrogen-filled balloons that suddenly caught fire, leading to chaos among the guests. The bride and groom sustained significant burns on various parts of their bodies and were rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
Despite the ordeal, the couple remained determined to proceed with their wedding vows after receiving treatment. Video footage captured the moment when the balloons ignited due to a pyrotechnic effect in the background, resulting in a loud explosion.
The bride, Tanyaa, suffered burns on her face and back, along with singed hair that she had to trim before continuing the ceremony. The groom, Kushagra, also sustained burns on his fingers during the mishap.
The newlyweds revealed that they had incorporated balloons and fireworks into their wedding following a social media trend. However, they now caution other couples to exercise caution when adopting such ideas to avoid similar accidents.
