Morrisons is distributing more than 27 tons of carrots for customers to give to Rudolph and his companions. From December 20 until Christmas Eve, shoppers can collect a complimentary carrot from the “Naturally Wonky” selection, while supplies last. These carrots may have slightly unconventional shapes or sizes.
Chris Smith, the Root Veg Senior Trader at Morrisons, expressed, “Christmas embodies spreading happiness and delight, so we are thrilled to provide our young customers with a free wonky carrot to leave out for Rudolph and friends on Christmas Eve.”
“Our Naturally Wonky range not only supports British farmers and reduces waste but also offers customers a cost-effective option that remains delicious,” added Smith.
This initiative coincides with several major UK supermarkets slashing the prices of Christmas vegetables to just 5p, featuring reductions on potatoes, carrots, parsnips, cabbage, and Brussels sprouts.
