“Trump Plans to Expand Travel Ban to 30+ Nations”

Reports indicate that Donald Trump is making arrangements to broaden the scope of a travel restriction on individuals from over 30 nations seeking entry into the United States.

This development follows the White House’s decision to halt all immigration petitions from 19 countries and cancel naturalization ceremonies nationwide, citing concerns related to national security.

During the summer, Trump imposed a restriction on 19 countries, predominantly from African or Muslim-majority regions such as Afghanistan, Iran, and Libya.

However, a further 11 countries are expected to be included following what is being described as one of the most extensive travel bans in history. Citizens from Afghanistan, Chad, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Myanmar, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen are already prohibited from entering the United States under the new regulations that took effect on June 9.

The proclamation also imposes partial restrictions on travelers from seven additional countries – Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan, and Venezuela – intending to enter the US.

These bans represent the latest measures in a series of anti-immigration actions initiated by Trump, which include preventing individuals from crossing the southern border to seek asylum and directing heavily armed ICE immigration officers to conduct operations nationwide.

Although Trump has not made an official statement, Secretary of State Kristi Noem hinted at an expanded “full travel ban,” suggesting the proposal to increase the number of countries on the restricted list during a meeting with the President.

Noem recommended the inclusion of “every nation that has been inundating our country with criminals, freeloaders, and entitled individuals” on the list.

The DHS chief further expressed, “Our predecessors established this nation through sacrifice, hard work, and a steadfast commitment to freedom – not for foreign intruders to harm our heroes, drain our tax resources, or deprive Americans of their entitled benefits. We reject them. Every single one.”

Previously, Trump criticized former president Joe Biden for allowing unvetted migrants to enter the US.

In his initial term, Trump openly expressed his intention to restrict citizens from countries where Islam is the predominant religion, leading to a travel ban against individuals from seven Muslim-majority nations seeking entry into the US.
