Darts prodigy Luke Littler has expressed his confidence in I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Here participant Angry Ginge’s potential success in the jungle. The 18-year-old, who shares a friendship with the online personality Morgan Burtwistle, playfully mentioned the idea of a future adventure down under.
The avid Manchester United supporter and popular streamer touched down at Brisbane airport this week in preparation for the show’s launch on November 16. Ant and Dec are set to make their return to ITV screens on Sunday, with Burtwistle already positioned as the frontrunner to claim the jungle king title.
Meanwhile, Littler advanced to the knockout rounds of the Grand Slam of Darts in Wolverhampton with a decisive 5-1 victory over Daryl Gurney, solidifying his title defense bid. As he anticipates his next opponent in the Grand Slam, he is also eagerly awaiting the commencement of the series in Australia.
In an interview with SportsBoom, Littler shared his belief that the 23-year-old Angry Ginge will excel in the challenging jungle environment. He stated, “I think he’s going to do very well. I’ve known him for a very long time. We’ll have to vote him on and see what he has to eat.”
Considering the possibility of his own participation in future editions of the television show, Littler hinted at being open to the idea if the offer is right. When asked about a potential jungle stint, he responded, “Erm maybe… If they come around for the right price. I might go over for a couple weeks.”
Angry Ginge’s arrival in Australia was met with enthusiasm from fans and media as he shared his mixed feelings about leaving behind Manchester United and his mother. Jokingly, he mentioned his camping experience from a Duke of Edinburgh bronze award he completed in school, expressing concerns about Australian wildlife but hoping for secure accommodations.
In a YouTube video confirming his participation in the reality TV program, Angry Ginge expressed his desire for Manchester United’s success in his absence, aiming for a strong league position upon his return in early December. He humorously stated, “Hello there. If you are seeing this, I have officially been announced that I am going in the jungle. That’s what I’m praying for. I’m hoping I come out, Man Utd are second in the league and going for the title… Arsenal are dropping points.”
