Fatal Shooting at Kentucky State University; Suspect in Custody

One individual has died, and another is in critical condition following a shooting incident on a university campus in the United States. The campus of Kentucky State University is currently under lockdown due to reports of an active aggressor. Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear has called for prayers for those affected.

According to officials, two students were shot near Whitney M. Young Jr. Hall, a residence hall on the south side of the Kentucky State University campus. The incident resulted in one fatality and one person being critically injured but in stable condition.

Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following the shooting at Young Hall on the university campus in Frankfort, Kentucky. The Frankfort Police Department, in collaboration with KSU Campus Police and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, have ensured campus security.

Kentucky State University, situated in Frankfort, Kentucky, is home to over 2,200 students and employs 450 faculty and staff members. The campus is now considered safe with no ongoing threat to the campus community.
