The Brazilian social media personality known as Human Barbie, Bárbara Jankavski, has had the cause of her death officially determined. Sadly, she passed away at the age of 31 on November 2, 2025, after being found unconscious in the São Paulo apartment of Renato Campos Pinto de Vitto, a 51-year-old public defender. Authorities have now confirmed that her death was accidental and resulted from cocaine use.
Following the confirmation of her death, a detailed investigation was initiated as Pinto de Vitto informed the police that he had engaged in “sexual services” with Jankavski on the night she died. He stated that they both consumed illicit substances before going to bed.
While the influencer’s cause of death aligns with the public defender’s account, her family has raised doubts about the official findings. According to Pinto de Vitto, he called emergency services upon realizing that Jankavski was unresponsive in her sleep. He attempted to assist her for nearly nine minutes before paramedics arrived, but she was pronounced dead upon their arrival.
When the São Paulo State Military Police arrived at the scene, they found Jankavski in only her underwear, with bruising on her back and an injury near her left eye. Reports indicate that a friend informed the police that she had fallen and injured her face earlier in the week.
Jankavski had gained a significant following on social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok, amassing 55,000 and 344,000 followers, respectively. She rose to fame by sharing her journey of aesthetic transformations, undergoing 27 plastic surgeries to resemble a Barbie doll. Her last known procedure was a facelift in June 2025, and she had been inactive on social media for over a month before her death.
In her final post, Jankavski shared a video with another content creator, Avós Da Razão, expressing her desire to meet. Upon learning of her passing, Razão and many others expressed their condolences, with fans mourning the loss of the influencer and remembering her impact on social media.
