Hyperoptic, a leading broadband provider, has recently announced a £4 monthly price increase for its customers starting in April 2026, up from the previous £3 rise. This adjustment will apply to both new and existing customers across all Hyperoptic broadband plans. Despite their previous stance against mid-contract price hikes, Hyperoptic now joins several other major telecom companies in implementing larger price increases.
In a statement from 2023, policy director James Fredrikson emphasized Hyperoptic’s commitment to avoiding mid-contract price rises, stating that the advertised price should remain consistent throughout the contract term.
Sky Mobile customers will see a £1.50 monthly increase from February 14, 2026, marking the first price change for in-contract customers in over seven years. O2 has also announced a £2.50 monthly rise for most mobile and SIM-only contract customers, up from the initially planned £1.80 increase starting in April 2026.
Three mobile customers with data plans of 4GB or less will face a £1.80 monthly increase from April 2026, while those with plans between 4GB and 100GB will experience a £1.90 rise. Customers with more than 100GB will incur a £2.30 monthly increase. Additionally, Three broadband users will see a £3.50 monthly price hike.
Vodafone mobile customers signing up from November 12 will witness a £2.50 increase in monthly bills, with a £1.50 rise for Basics SIM plans. Vodafone broadband customers, on the other hand, will face a £3.50 monthly price increase. Existing Vodafone and Three customers will continue to pay their agreed-upon rates, unless out of contract.
For consumers seeking to save money on mobile and broadband services, it is recommended to compare prices online, evaluate current usage needs, and consider switching providers or negotiating with current providers for better deals. Eligible individuals receiving benefits should explore potential discounts through social tariffs.
